Moon Hash - 13th Birthday
April 28th and 29th (Wednesday & Thursday)

Two runs are planned Wednesday 28th at 1900 and the 13th Birthday run on Thursday 29th starting at 1700.
-
Wednesday will be a normal run format. Drink and food provided after the run on site; somewhere in the
Jebels. Run fee for Wednesday is 3 omr;

Thursday run will be followed by buffet in the bar at Al Nahda approx 2000. The cost is 30 omr/ night including breakfast.
Thursday’s run might be free. There will be a T-shirt for everyone that completes the 21km run . Buffet on Thursday will be charged to your room if you eat. Will see if we can get discount at the bar on Thursday.
I’ll be taking names at the hash tonight or let me know by email or phone if you want to come; numbers are limited to 40.

ERECTIONS
8th May 2010
Fellow JH3er’s,
On the 8th May JH3 we will be holding the Erections for the next years Committee positions. The current committee has been more or less constant for the last three years and it has been decided that some new blood should be introduced into the running of the Hash. Therefore, all committee positions are up for election or re-election. All hashers are requested to attend the Erections on the 8th May and to participate in selection of the new committee. Volunteers for the positions are most welcome. Nominations for re-election may be declined by existing position holders.
During the last few weeks we have circulated descriptions of the tasks associated with each of the committee positions and these follow below:-
JH3 Task Descriptions – Not in any particular sequence denoting importance as all are essential to make things work.
All of the tasks below are available for candidates who feel they have something to offer the Hash for the forthcoming year
Grand Master:-
Coordinate with Committee Members on general running of the Hash and preside over decisions made at meetings. Lead the circle after each hash. Delegate tasks when the incumbent member is absent for a prolonged period. Events and allocating tasks to other committee members. Dreaming up new Represent the hash at any National and International events. Assist, where possible, in the organisation and publicity of regional events.
Joint Master:-
Assist in running the circle, announcing the presence of new/returning and award winning members. Presenting awards. Assisting the GM and R/A in running the circle.
Religious Adviser:-
Assist in running the circle and deputising for the GM. Bringing the circle to order and reprimanding members for hash crimes.
Mother Hare:-
Ensuring that a there is a plentiful supply of hares and publication of run directions well in advance of each hash. Checking run sites for mapping accuracy. Preparation of maps and forwarding to the webmaster for upload and ensuring new hares are paired with experienced ones.
Baby Bunny:-
Assisting the Mother Hare in getting hares, assisting Haberdashery and reserve Swally.
Haberdasher:-
Maintaining a supply of hash regalia (Tee-shirts, singlets, car stickers, windscreen sun-blinds, caps, etc.,) and arranging for awards in a timely manner).
Webmaster:-
Design, maintain, and update the hash website. Upload maps for upcoming
runs.
Swally:-
Maintaining a plentiful supply of the most essential lubricant known to hashers and ensuing the circle never runs out.
Trolley Dolly’s:-
Assist in running the circle by pouring suitably selected refreshment for the nominated members from the circle. Supplying plates, cutlery, bin bags, hash shit foam (as necessary), looking after the down-down table (bringing and taking it home), and taking home the down-down box.
Cash:-
Responsible for maintaining an accurate record of the hash income and outgoings. Recording members signing on for each run. Advising the Committee of the cash balance at each meeting and availability of funds to subsidise any proposed events;
Flour master:-
Purchasing flour for the hares to mark the trail.
Softees:-
Maintaining a plentiful supply of the second most essential lubricant known to hashers and ensuing there is sufficient to keep members going on the run and to refresh them afterwards.
Ice:-
Supplying a plentiful amount of ice for the swally, softees and circle.
Hares:-
Selecting the site for their run and advising Hare Raiser for publication of the run directions, getting the trail marking flour from the flour master and marking the trail in a clear way. Organising the food with local caterers, or doing it themselves, and ensuring it arrives at the run-site for the end of circle. This responsibility should not be delegated to other hashers and ought to be organised only by the hares. Finally, organising or carrying out the site clear-up themselves.
